When talking about recovery after a workout the conversation usually turns to protein shakes or supplements.  A good recovery blend should include what is called an amino acid profile.

When talking about protein and recovery we are actually talking about Branched Chain Amino Acids. BCAA's are the building blocks of muscle tissue as they facilitate ATP production in the cells which in turn creates energy for the recovery process.
